When one mentions Mactan, locals and even tourist alike would think of Lapu-Lapu, Beach resorts and of course food. Now what makes the food special is not the meal itself but rather the dining experience. The area which is a tourist attraction on it’s own is no other than Mactan Island’s Su-Tu-Kil.


Su-Tu-Kil (Sugba-Tula-Kilaw) or Shoot-to-Kill as many tourist wrongfully pronounce is an area right along the Lapu-Lapu Shrine that has a vast offering of seafood treats to satisfy your cravings. Here various restaurants are grouped together providing a similar style of cooking but the pioneer establishment that started it all is “No Problem”.


The unique name was adopted from the employees of the restaurant who respond to customers with their trademark “No Problem” when asked for something. Built back in 1981, the establishment started with no roof, one table and one chair. Currently it has moved from its initial location to the present location, which is bigger and better to easily accommodate their growing number of patrons.



 Upon entering the restaurant, customers are greeted by an array of fishes, shells, and other seafood on display. Here you can personally pick the type of food that would be prepared and how it would be cooked. Just make sure that when you visit, you ask for the freshest catch of the day.


From a meal of Tinolang Lapu-lapu, Calamares, Butter Garlic Shrimps, Bacon Butter Scallops and Sweet-and-Sour Lapu-lapu; Su-Tu-Kil has it all. Definitely a treat to have when you visit Mactan Island where, as in the words of the employees, “the service and food should be exactly what the business is: NO PROBLEM.”
